Your license renewal may be in jeopardy
The Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing is finding that many of the personal addresses on file for real estate licensees are incorrect and its mailings are being returned by the Post Office. This becomes especially problematic for renewal notices.
RC 4735.14 requires ODRE to send renewal notices to the personal address of each individual licensee. If licensees don't get their notice and forget to renew, their license is suspended and then could be revoked--potentially causing all kinds of problems.
ODRE is undergoing a major effort to update personal addresses--verifying the address of licensees who call and also posting information on its Web site about the importance of keeping your address updated with the Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing. OAR Blog: NAR on target in its characterization of GSE policies
The Ohio Association of REALTORS Chief Executive Officer, Don Freels has created a blog about OAR news, events and commentaries. This week's edition talks about the recently adopted policies of government sponsored entities (GSEs), Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, that have created major impediments to healthy mortgage and housing markets.
One such policy has resulted in stigmatizing entire communities by labeling them "declining markets." Higher down payments are required of borrowers purchasing homes in these areas, eliminating significant numbers of potential buyers who simply do not have the additional funds or view the "declining market" designation as one more reason not to buy. Print a list of meeting attendees in Outlook 2007...Here is a handy tip for those of you who frequently schedule meetings using Outlook 2007. It is sometimes handy to have a hard copy of the names of attendees invited to a meeting, along with the name of the meeting organizer. Although it requires a few steps, you can print this information in Outlook 2007.
- Your first step is to copy the names of attendees and the organizer:
- Within Outlook, click the Calendar.
- Open the appropriate meeting request.
- On the Meeting tab, click Scheduling Assistant.
- Select the names in the All Attendees list.
- On the Format Text tab, click COPY, the names of the meeting organizer and attendees are copied.
Your next step is to paste the names into Word and format them for printing:
- Open a new Word document.
- On the Home tab, click Paste. The names of the meeting organizer and attendees are separated by either semicolons or commas.
- Select all the names.
- On the Insert tab, in the Tables group, click Table.
- Click Convert Text to Table.
- In the Convert Text to Table, dialog box, under Table size, set the number of columns to 1.
- In the Convert Text to Table, dialog box, under Separate text at, select Commas if the names are separated by commas. If the names are separated by semicolons, select OTHER, and then type a semicolon (;) in the adjacent box.
- Click OK.
