Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI)
GRI 200 Program – 4 Day Program (March 5,6,12 & 13)

Take the GRI 200 and you are one step away from earning the GRI designation.

The GRI designation is a powerful tool to attract and build new business. You'll increase your skill level across the entire landscape of real estate with in-depth training in legal and regulatory issues, technology, professional standards, and the sales process. REALTORS with at least one designation earned a median of $61,000 while those without a designation earned a median income of $33,500, a difference of $27,600. (Source: 2013 NAR Member Profile)

In today's competitive business environment, it often takes more than just motivation and initiative to succeed. Earning the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation is a way to stand out to prospective home buyers and sellers as a REALTOR® who has gained in-depth knowledge on technical subjects as well as the fundamentals of real estate.

The focus of the GRI 200 4-day program is negotiating, risk reduction, technology and social media. Broaden your knowledge and position yourself to succeed!

For your convenience we have divided the program into 4 individual days as listed below:

Day 1: Tuesday, March 5 – 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Day 2: Wednesday, March 6 – 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Day 3: Tuesday, March 12 – 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Day 4: Wednesday, March 13 – 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

All 4 days of the GRI 200 must be completed.

CE Credit: Approved for 30-hours of real estate continuing education credit. (3.5 hours of core law, 26.5 hours of elective credit), required course for the GRI designation.

Instructors: Our instructors are nationally recognized in the field and hold many NAR designations in their area of expertise.

How Do I Earn The Designation?
The program consists of two courses, the GRI 100 equivalency exam and the GRI 200, which can be taken in any sequence, and are designed to meet the needs of both the experienced and inexperienced.

What Is The GRI 100 Equivalency Exam?
This examination satisfies the requirements of the GRI 100 course. Satisfactory completion of the exam indicates that you have the experience, other National Association of REALTORS classes, designations, and or certifications, pre-licensure courses and/or company training programs that provided you the competency necessary to compete in the marketplace. (Due to the specific course content the GRI 100 is the only course available with this option.)

The examination topics consist of:

  • Residential Construction
  • Ethics: Measure of Professionalism
  • Antitrust
  • Agency Laws, Duties and Disclosures
  • Fair Housing
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Environmental Issues: Discovery & Disclosure

Your GRI 100 completion certificate will be mailed to you upon successful completion of the exam. You will then only need to complete the 4-day GRI 200 course and pay a one-time application fee of $50 to hold the Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI) designation. The GRI designation is a NAR designation offered and conferred by the State Associations. No yearly dues are required for this NAR designation. While all the courses are open to anyone, the right to use the GRI Designation is limited to those who maintain membership in the Local, State, and National Association of REALTORS®.
