Ohio REALTORS® is pleased to offer this course in partnership with Dynamic Directions, providing valuable educational programming to our members that supports professional growth and excellence in real estate. When registering, be sure to list Ohio REALTORS® as the name of the Local Board, Association or Referring School. Following course completion and confirmation of attendance requirements, participants will receive an email from Ohio REALTORS® for submission of a one-time $20 processing fee to obtain CE (if desired).

This 2-part Right Start Real Estate Training program helps new licensees master the skills needed to launch and grow a successful real estate business. Through live virtual instruction and hands-on exercises, you’ll learn how to attract clients, demonstrate your professional value, manage expectations, and earn loyalty and written commitments from buyers and sellers.
June 9 | Part One: Building Your Business & Demonstrating Your Value
In the first session, you’ll set up your business foundation and personal brand, create your marketing plan, and learn how to confidently communicate your value. Topics include:
- Establishing a strong business identity
- Understanding the client experience
- Converting contacts into loyal clients
June 16 | Part Two: Securing Buyer & Seller Clients
The second session focuses on how to attract and convert leads, build trust through professionalism, and secure signed buyer or seller agreements. You’ll learn:
- Prospecting for qualified clients
- Presenting your services with confidence
- Managing client relationships through closing

Amy Buchas Lavoie, BS Forensic Science is a Realtor® Broker, CT School Operations Manager, and Senior Trainer with Dynamic Directions, Inc. With a background in forensic science, her instruction is grounded in analytical reasoning, investigative methodology, and evidence-based decision making. Amy teaches Realtor® certification and designation courses including ABR®, SRS®, PSA, and The Right Start, with a focus on compliance, risk mitigation, negotiation strategy, and real-world application. Her courses are known for clarity, rigor, and practical relevance, equipping agents with the critical thinking skills needed to build sustainable, ethical real estate careers.
CE Information & Required Technology:
- This course is delivered in two parts, with each day certified for 6 Ohio CE credit hours. Following verification of course completion and confirmation of attendance requirements, we will email you for submission of a one-time $20 CE processing fee. CE certificates will be distributed via email within 10 business days of payment receipt.
- Attendees will need to access the program with a device (phone, laptop, PC) that has a camera, speaker, microphone, and reliable, high-speed internet access. Video, audio, and internet access are all necessary to successfully attend class. Please make sure to test everything ahead of time at https://zoom.us/test
- Attendees must turn on their video camera and stay within view during the program to receive CE, as active participation will be monitored. Per ODRE requirements, you must be present for at least 90% of the program to receive credit.
