John Lynch receives Ohio's 2020 'REALTOR® of the Year' Award
John Lynch, of Westlake, is presented Ohio's 2020 "REALTOR® of the Year" Award by Ohio REALTORS® President Chris Reese. The announcement of Lynch’s selection was made at the Ohio REALTORS® 110th Annual Convention & EXPO, held virtually, September 21-25.

Lynch was nominated by the Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS® and is affiliated with Keller Williams Citywide. He has been a REALTOR® since 1972.
The announcement of Lynch’s selection was made at the Ohio REALTORS® 110th Annual Convention & EXPO, held virtually, September 21-25.
Judging of the “REALTOR® of the Year” award is based on professional achievements, local REALTOR® Board/Association activities, service the Ohio and National Association of REALTORS®, as well as business and education experience and civic activities.
Lynch served as President of the Akron Cleveland Association of REALTORS® in 1993. Additionally, he has served as a member and in leadership on a variety of the Akron Cleveland Association Committees, including: CIE task force, Commercial Forum 2013-Present, RPAC Trustees, Community Watchdog Program, Brokers Community, and the Paul J. Everson RPAC Hall of Fame.
Lynch also serves on the local Association OR/NAR Leadership Advisory Committee, which works hard to encourage fellow REALTORS® to engage with OR/NAR. He was the NAR Regional Vice President – Region 6 (Michigan & Ohio) in 2018.
On the state level, Lynch was Ohio REALTORS® president in 1999. He served on numerous state committees such as Appraisal Committee, Commercial-Industrial Committee, Executive Committee, Past Presidents Committee, Realtor® Party Committee, Charitable Committee, Directors, Legislative Committee, Trustees, and Hall of Fame.
Civically, he is involved in the Ohio Appraiser Board and was Chairperson of the state Appraiser Board in 2019, has served on the Ohio Housing Finance Agency, volunteers as a consultant at A Family’s First Opportunity to Realize its Dream, is involved with the Near West Side Rental Housing Collaborative and more.
Lynch serves as the REALTORS® Federal Political Coordinator for Sen. Sherrod Brown, Ohio REALTORS® State Political Coordinator for State Rep. Michael Skindell; and served on Cleveland City Council from 1974 through 1986.
Lynch holds the NAR Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource certification (SFR).
