CoachingCorner: Completion Time
By Marilou Butcher Roth, Master Coach
It’s that time of year again - time to clear out the old and prepare for the new! Look around your life and find the places that are weighing you down. Specifically, I am referring to the clutter and messes that seem to appear. When we are enveloped in messes, we lose our ability to create and fully function. And, it is very easy to become complacent with our surroundings, tuning out the things that are zapping our energy.
I invite (and strongly encourage) you to go through your home, office, and car, making a list of items requiring tending. Break these into bite-size pieces so that you can accomplish these tasks in bits, rather than tackling the entire job at one time. This will make the process seem more manageable instead of overwhelming.
Once you have your list complete, identify which items would bring you the most joy to have completed. Then, move through knocking these items out bit by bit and crossing them right off of that list. Sweet satisfaction, indeed.
