Coaching Corner: Do you believe in magic?

Coaching Corner: Do you believe in magic?

Sep 13, 2013

What I want you to consider today is how what we believe impacts our everyday living. If you did believe that Friday the 13th is a scary day, you would probably not schedule appointments for that day or be watching your step everywhere you went. This holds true for anything that we believe. If you believe you need to be cautious on Friday the 13th -- you will be!

Let's explore the idea or belief of some that people in general are not trustworthy. That's not my belief, and it may not be what you believe but it is a belief that is out there, and chances are you might encounter someone like that in your business or personal life. These people may have a deeply ingrained belief that you have to be so careful when you engage the services of someone, i.e. a REALTOR.

So this week, I would invite you to look within to ask what beliefs you are carrying with you. Do you believe you must work 80 hours per week to be successful? Do you believe that life is hard? Or, perhaps, that you never have enough time or money? Be gentle with this and just get curious about what your individual beliefs are and then ask yourself “is this belief really true?”

The magic comes into play when you realize that what we are creating within our own minds is what is dictating how we “be” in our lives; our responses; our actions. And the real magic happens when we can begin to shift our thinking into more of what we want!

Abracadabra!
