REALTOR Sheila Crane is honored with the Ohio REALTORS 2025 Good Neighbor Award
REALTOR® Sheila Crane, of Beavercreek, is honored with the Ohio REALTORS® 2025 Good Neighbor Award.
Crane was presented with the award at the Ohio REALTORS® 2025 Annual Convention & Expo in Cleveland, Sept. 15-17.
Crane, of Dayton REALTORS®, is associated with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services.
The Good Neighbor Award, one of the organization's most prestigious honors, is presented to an individual REALTOR® who has shown exemplary commitment to community service.
A passionate advocate, Crane first became involved in anti-trafficking work in 2012 while serving as a Housing Consultant for the Montgomery County Prostitution Intervention Collaborative (PIC). There, she became acutely aware of the profound challenges facing at-risk women. Since then, she has devoted her life to educating the public and supporting the recovery of those affected.
As Chair of the Abolition Ohio Speakers Bureau, she leads a network of dedicated trainers and advocates who provide education across sectors. Under her leadership, the bureau has expanded collaborations with trauma-informed care specialists, medical and recovery professionals, first responders, and other frontline workers supporting survivors of human trafficking.
In 2018, Crane deepened her community involvement by joining Soroptimist International of Dayton (SI-Dayton), a local chapter of the global volunteer organization committed to improving the lives of women and girls. In addition to serving as Secretary of the SI-Dayton club, she helps lead two critical awareness campaigns: the Missing Children Poster initiative and the STOP Sticker Program, the latter of which partners with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to increase public visibility of trafficking resources in transportation hubs.
