Coaching Corner: Getting things done!

Coaching Corner: Getting things done!

Let's take a deep breath -- did that do it? No! Then take as many as you need to feel yourself experience calm. Deep breaths, starting all the way down in your belly and then all the way up through your chest -- expand your lungs -- in through your nose and out through your nose. It doesn't take much time and the impact is quite delightful!

OK, now you are calm, so let's start fresh. There are only 24 hours in each day and although I have heard countless times “if I just had more hours in the day,” I guarantee you would fill those hours up as well. Let's stop for a moment and identify what is truly important to you -- what do you really want?

Perhaps it is most important to you at this moment to feel in control of your life, your day, your time. Good stuff! You may focus on health, or the ability to be fully present in each moment. You may find your attention going to quality relationships or having a strong desire to experience financial freedom. Whatever comes up for you is good and I want you to write all of them down and feel each one as you do -- how does it feel when you think of having each of these?

Now write down one more thing in big bold letters: I HAVE AN ABUNDANCE OF TIME, AND I COMPLETE EACH DAY WITH EASE AND JOY! Great! Now how does that feel -- hopefully you have your own internal “yippee” going on! Say this to yourself many times a day, with feeling! Do this first thing in the morning to set the tone of your day and from this place look at your schedule and determine what needs to happen, all the while continuing to affirm your abundance and ease of time.

We tend to make things so much more difficult than they need to be. Find ways to keep things simple and enjoy each moment as fully as you can -- each one counts and you will never get it back! Have fun with this!
