Coaching Corner: What's your plan, man?

Coaching Corner: What's your plan, man?

Right now it is Thursday evening and as soon as I complete writing this post, I will be headed to the kitchen to prepare food for tomorrow. Ah, yes! I have become one of those people! In the spirit of transparency, I will admit to you that just a short time ago my eating habits had become something unfamiliar to me. My food choices were less than healthy and I could tell it was beginning to take its toll -- I was finding myself tired, and low energy is not something I have ever made friends with.

Taking matters into a new direction, I met with a woman here in Cincinnati who works from a whole food perspective, starting with a three-day cleanse and then gradually adding foods back into your meals. The meals were spelled out and easy to prepare, and, as I continue with this new way of eating I am finding myself feeling like myself again and ready for more!

Here's the point -- this is not about eating more healthy (although that has its own merit). It is about how easy it has been to do this because I have a PLAN! Granted, I did not write this plan, although I will be doing that after 30 days. Regardless, there is a plan for me to follow which is taking me to the success that I desire!

Get the picture? Where in your life might you benefit from a plan? Deciding what you want needs to come first and then developing a plan to take yourself there will be next on the hit parade. Think about your business -- do you have a plan? Do you know the direction that you want to take your business? Or what about your physical health? Do you have a plan to keep the body that you will have for hopefully quite some time in its peak condition?

This week, identify the areas where a plan might be beneficial. Have fun with this and remember to make any plan something that works for you!
