Coaching Corner: Falling in

Coaching Corner: Falling in

It is strange to think this is the last day of September and, according to the retailers, the holidays are right around the corner! The seasons seem to be coming quicker and quicker, which I imagine reflects how much quicker things happen as we age.

There is something about the fall season to me that invites a more relaxed feeling, contrary to spring where I find myself having more energy as I thaw from the cold of winter. Perhaps fall is when hot tea seems more appealing than iced, or when we need a bit of warmth around us when we go outside. Hands down, I am a spring person, although I do welcome the beauty and crispness that this new season brings.

How does fall impact you? Is it just another time of year for you? What can you find to appreciate as we move into the seasonal changes that occur? This week, I would love to see you tune into yourself around fall. Notice how you feel differently now as opposed to spring, summer or winter -- just notice.

Yes, the idea is beyond noticing this specific difference -- being able to notice how you are feeling at any point will assist you in many aspects of your life. It will enhance your choices and actions you might take. It will give you greater information about yourself around relationships and also why you react the way you do in certain situations.

Bottom line -- the more you can notice about yourself, the more you will find a deeper level of self awareness, and a much enhanced ability to be fully present in every moment. So, are you ready to “fall in?”
