Coaching Corner: Creating your way to more sales!

Typically, most of us are only using part of our beautiful brain. We are functioning, doing what we need to do — we have good days and bad days; overall, things are OK. Well, I am here to tell you, OK is just not OK anymore! If you want more out of your life, both professionally and personally, continue to read — if OK works well for you, I will catch you next week!

As an example, I have many friends that come alive when they work in their gardens. In that realm, they totally open up to their creativity — finding new and exciting ways to express themselves. Or another way to express your creativity might be in the kitchen, experimenting with new and exciting recipes. There are many, many ways to express yourself creatively. The problem comes in when we do not take the time to do this for ourselves.

If you are spending time each doing something that engages the right side of your brain, reason will tell you that you are using more of your brain than you were using before. And, if you are using more of your brain, then you will find yourself thinking differently about all of your life, including your sales!

If you have been living with the story that you are not creative, now is the time to find new and easy activities to assist you in expanding your brain. Some activities you might try are journaling, movement or dance, writing poetry, making a scrapbook, arranging photos, learning an instrument, finding new ways to play with your children or grandchildren.

I cannot stress how important creativity is in your life. If you participate in some form of creativity 10 minutes each day, you will experience a noticeable difference in your life. The idea is not to “produce” anything, but to experience the pleasure of this activity.

Enjoy!
