Coaching Corner: Good or bad?

Coaching Corner: Good or bad?

Sep 20, 2013

By Marilou Butcher Roth

What I have learned over the years is how to allow life to unfold in a way that holds no judgement, viewing each event as an opportunity for something! What would happen if we could hold the viewpoint that things are always truly working in our favor? Even if something appears awful, finding ways of determining what is there for us. It might just be a learning that we never want to repeat that event again! Or perhaps, to bring us another opportunity that could never have presented itself otherwise.

So think about the beautiful roller coaster of real estate -- one day you're up and the next day everything can change. How do you step back from the actual event and not judge it as “bad,” but remain open to what possibilities are there for you and how from this place of non-judgement you can be more available for accessing options.

Judgement and classifying life events into the good and bad categories keep us from being fully present and being able to move forward. Pay attention to your thoughts and words this week -- are you coming from a place of judgement of “good” or “bad,” or are you living in openness to learning what life has to teach you!

Enjoy!
