Coaching Corner: Finding your perfect

Coaching Corner: Finding your perfect

So...I was wondering how that same principal applies to real estate, and more specifically, organizing and maintaining our business in a way that allows us to feel supported and strong. We tend to operate from a place of reacting rather than from a pro-active position. We put out fires on a regular basis, cancel what we have scheduled to go show a house or go on a listing consultation. There are times when we feel like we are being pulled in many different directions — if this has never been your experience, please let me know your secret!

Here's my thought — what if you began your day from a place of perfect? That might look like taking 5 minutes to center yourself and think about the day and what you know you have going on. How would you like the day to go? One of my favorite intentions when I think about my day is “spaciousness” — that feeling that I have ample time to accomplish everything that I want and need to. You might take a few minutes to journal. There is a great book, “The Artist's Way” by Julia Cameron, where she suggests that the first thing each morning you write three pages of whatever comes to your mind. It is somewhat of a mental purging and by doing so, you clear out all of the morning's mental clutter and create a space for more clarity. Many of my clients have done this with much success. You could also just breathe — nice deep, full breaths for just 2 minutes!

These are just some ideas, there are countless to get yourself to this place of perfect. As you move through your day, how can you come back to this feeling place? You will no doubt be challenged to move away from this perfect place, and that's OK (and normal). The question is, how can you continue to come back to perfect so that each challenge that arises, it becomes easier to continue to feel strong and supported?

And...as always, enjoy this process!
