We hope this message finds you well and thriving in the vital business we’re all part of. These are without doubt interesting times for REALTORS, with both challenges and opportunities to keep us on our toes.
The challenge is the same throughout the state: We don’t have as many homes to sell as we would like. Statewide, the number of homes sold in May was about 16% below May 2022 while the average sale price of $280,392 was 1.5% higher than a year ago.
What we shouldn’t lose sight of is that these conditions make the role of the REALTOR more important than ever. People trying to find the perfect home need our expertise and experience the most when conditions are most challenging.
That belief is what drives the Ohio REALTORS consumer campaign, “We’ll Get You There.” Buying a new home or selling a long-time residence truly is a journey — one of the most important our clients will make. The ideal “there” is different for every individual or family, and it’s up to us to make sure the destination is right. More information can be found on the campaign website.
While Ohio REALTORS is pushing the campaign through its social media and online advertisements, the real power of “We’ll Get You There” will come from all of us — nearly 37,000 member REALTORS serving as spokespeople by sharing their own stories. That’s why the website is stocked with tools like sample social media posts, Photofy frames downloadable for Apple and Google and tips on how to tell your story in words and images.
The research behind the campaign told us that a large majority of Ohio home buyers and sellers have been satisfied with their experience using a REALTOR and feel the REALTORS earned their commission. It also told us that one in four Ohioans follow a real estate agent on social media. “We’ll Get You There” is a chance to capitalize on the goodwill we know is out there, by telling stories that show the dedication and skill behind the magic of finding the right home.
The campaign is off to a fantastic start since launching in March. Paid advertising stats as of 6/22 include:
- Social media impressions: 5.47M
- Social Engagements: 7.1k
- Social Ad clicks: 8.2k
- YouTube impressions: 284k
- YouTube views (watched the entire ad) 63.7k
We expect these numbers to jump even more with the launch of our Hulu ads coming in the next few weeks.
