You’re skilled at guiding clients through the home buying process.  But do you ever receive questions about mortgage options that you don’t know how to answer?  The Home Finance Resource Certification course is designed to provide you with foundational education to help you confidently explain key pieces of the loan origination process.  With the skills that you gain from this course, you will also be equipped to provide guidance on navigating mortgage applications and alternative financing options for all types of buyers.  

This course will teach you how to guide your buyers through the mortgage preapproval process by, for example, creating a mortgage application checklist with all the documents they’ll need.  The program also covers resources for addressing low credit scores, alternative financing options like first-time homebuyer assistance or low down payment programs, and how to avoid the most common mortgage sticking points in a transaction.  For example, the mortgage preapproval—not just prequalification—has become key for buyers competing against multiple offers in today’s market.

CREDIT: (please read)

• This course is certified for 6 hours of real estate credit, elective for the ABR Designation.
• Attendees must share their video and be in full view during the program to receive CE, as active participation will be monitored.
• You must attend both days of the livestream to receive CE credit and fulfill the requirement for the Home Finance Resource (HFR) certification. There will be no partial credit given. 
• Per ODRE requirements, attendees must be present 90% of the program.

Once you’ve completed the coursework and submitted the one-time certification fee, you’ll receive your official HFR Certification and access to the HFR logo, personalized certificate, marketing materials, and more. And because the HFR Certification counts toward the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) Designation, you’ll have taken an important step in your continuing professional education.

Important Notes:

• As long as you’re a current member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) you can earn your HFR certification.
• After completing your coursework, you’ll need to submit a one-time certification fee of $89.
