Coaching Corner: The final four

Coaching Corner: The final four

Dec 7, 2018

By "Coach" Marilou Butcher Roth

It’s here -- the end of the year is a mere four weeks away! It seems as if each year catches me by surprise, almost as if I didn’t know it was coming! I speak often of completions and setting intentions, and, this is because it is my favorite time of year for these tasks.

Most recently, I addressed the idea of completions, and today I plan to talk about setting intentions. Some may get this intertwined with their 2019 goals, which is fine. Ideally, though, I want you to go bigger -- looking at making lasting changes that impact your year and your life.

It’s the perfect time to re-evaluate your business. Are things where you want them to be? Are you where you want to beFor this exercise, I don’t want you to identify how much money you want to make, or how many appointments for the week or month. Nope -- I want you to look at yourself and your business through different eyes. Not through the eyes of someone else, or eyes of how things always have been.

Look through fresh eyes -- ones that bring focus and curiosity to how you have been running your business, and asking what it is you truly want. What is working? What isn’t? What do you find yourself complaining about most often? Is there something you can do to make the changes that will make a difference? Ask the harder questions and be open to your answers. Write down your answers, or perhaps your answers bring you to more questions -- write those down as well.

Invest some time for yourself and your business -- it will pay off!
