Ohio REALTORS presented its first-ever Public Service Award to Trotwood Mayor Mary McDonald for her ongoing efforts to help rebuild her community that was devastated by the tornadoes that hit on Memorial Day.

The award was presented by Ohio REALTORS President Anjanette Frye at the organization's Board of Directors meeting during the 109th Annual Convention & EXPO, Sept. 16-18, in Cincinnati.

"Mayor McDonald was a shining example of selfless service to her constituents that had their lives turned upside down by the tornadoes that ripped through the region," Frye said. "The Mayor coordinated emergency, safety and public works services, and kept the community focused on recovery."

The Ohio REALTORS, with more than 32,000 members, is the largest professional trade association in Ohio.
