Ohio REALTORS welcomes Todd Book & Stephen McCoy to its legal team

Attorneys Todd Book and Stephen McCoy have joined Ohio REALTORS as Assistant Vice Presidents of Legal Services. Book and McCoy will focus on Ohio real estate and licensing law and will be working closely with members and staff to protect private property rights in Ohio.
Todd and Stephen are both highly qualified attorneys that will immediately enhance Ohio REALTORS Legal Services. We're thrilled that they've joined our team and are confident that they will uphold and build upon the standard of excellent legal practices and advice that our members are accustomed to.
About Todd Book
Todd graduated with a degree in Political Science from Western Michigan University and has a Juris Doctor from Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College of William and Mary.
Todd is the owner of By the Book Advisors, LLC, where he served for more than eight years as a government relations consultant on behalf of the Ohio State Bar Association. He brings extensive knowledge of Ohio law and has served as a practicing attorney throughout his career.
Additionally, Todd was an Ohio State Representative for the 89th District encompassing Scioto County and parts of Lawrence and Adams Counties (2003-2010). He has also served as the Economic Development Director of Scioto County and as an Adjunct Professor at both Ohio University Southern and Shawnee State University.

About Stephen McCoy
Stephen graduated with a degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University and has a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School.
Stephen joins Ohio REALTORS most recently serving as an Associate Attorney with The Holfinger Stevenson Law Firm, Ltd., where he focused on real estate, estate planning, and business law, handling real estate and business transactions from contract to closing. He also holds experience in creating comprehensive estate plans, establishing business entities, title clearing matters such as quiet title actions, forfeiture of land contracts, probate administration and more.
Additionally, Stephen worked as a Document Review Attorney for Black Letter Discovery and as an Oil and Gas Land Associate for Cimmaron Field Services, Inc. Stephen brings extensive knowledge of Ohio law and has served as a practicing attorney throughout his career.
Among Stephen’s key qualifications:
- Broad Legal Knowledge, extensive experience with Real Property Law, Business Law, Estate Planning, and Probate Administration
- Public Speaking Experience including Fair Housing continuing education, and limited liability companies (LLCs), Easements, and Real Estate Surveys
- Certificates of Concentration in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution
