Ohio REALTORS President-Elect Ali Whitley joined Daphne Hawk, Superintendent of the Ohio Division of Real Estate, for an episode of “Protecting What Matters,” a podcast produced by the Ohio Department of Commerce. The podcast is a resource for businesses, families and individuals wanting to protect what matters most.

The Department of Commerce is the state’s chief regulatory agency specifically focusing on consumer protection. It also houses the Division of Real Estate, which oversees all real estate licensees in the state.

The episode, which first aired on June 14, highlights why consumers should hire a licensed real estate agent and explores the value Ohio REALTORS bring to their communities.

“A good REALTOR will help you make a strategy. It’s not one size fits all. We sit down and create a specific strategy for you to be able to move through this process,” said Ali Whitley, President-Elect of Ohio REALTORS. “Sometimes you’re buying and selling at the same time. What does that look like? It’s important to partner with an advisor so that you can have a successful transaction.”

Whitley also highlights the new Ohio REALTORS statewide consumer campaign, explaining its goal and the vital role REALTORS play in helping clients achieve their “there.”

“We’re trying to communicate the importance of the REALTOR and their activities in their communities,” she said. “The We’ll Get You There campaign says if you’re a buyer, whatever you’re looking for in a home, we’ll get you there. If you’re a business owner, we can help you get a business in that community. We can open that door for you. How can we get you there?”
