Coaching Corner: Are you doing what you love?

Each of us innately have qualities that can be considered to be genius qualities -- yes, I said it -- genius qualities! Your IQ doesn't need to be incredible to possess these, we all have them. We often tell ourselves that those activities that we totally or moderately dislike will need to improve, we just need to try harder. Well, that may be true in a few cases but overall forcing ourselves into doing something that requires extreme effort is counterproductive!
So, let's look at your business -- what parts of what you do really excite you? Break this down into each piece and ask if this is something you are good at and enjoy. Perhaps you are amazing with your clients but not so much when it comes to paperwork. Maybe you love working with creating the comps, or taking the pictures for the property. Really think about which of the many, many aspects of real estate is most pleasing to you and then determine how you will handle the parts that are not.
You may be in a position to hire someone to assist you with those things, or maybe you partner up with another agent. Be open to possibilities on this one. Enjoy!
