REALTORS® Can Earn Professional Credits for Serving Their Community

Every Election Day, tens of thousands of Ohioans step forward to serve as poll workers and perform one of our state’s most important civic duties.
These bipartisan professionals are the backbone of our elections. They greet voters, operate voting equipment, answer questions, and work in bipartisan teams to ensure every eligible Ohioan can make their voice heard in a secure, fair, and orderly election.
As we prepare for another important election on November 3, I’m asking Ohio’s real estate professionals to answer that call to service.
REALTORS® are uniquely positioned to help. You know your communities. You work every day with Ohioans from all walks of life, helping families put down roots, start new chapters, and invest in their neighborhoods. That same commitment to community makes you an ideal partner in administering our elections.
There’s also a professional benefit. Ohio real estate licensees who serve as Election Day poll workers in 2026 can earn three hours of Core Law continuing education credit.
It’s an opportunity to fulfill part of your continuing education requirements while spending a day serving your neighbors and seeing firsthand the safeguards that make Ohio elections secure and accessible.
Our bipartisan county boards of elections provide the training you need, and poll workers are compensated for both their training and Election Day service.
Secure and accessible elections don’t just happen. They depend on patriotic Ohioans willing to step up and do the work.
