On the state level, Lach served as president of the Ohio Association of REALTORS in 2004.

Additionally, she was a recipient of the organization's Phillip R. Barnes RPAC Achievement Award (2009), for her extraordinary commitment to the REALTORS Political Action Committee. Lach has been inducted into the National Association of REALTORS RPAC Hall of Fame. She has served as a member of the OAR Board of Directors for more than two decades.

On the national level, Lach has served as an NAR Director from Ohio (1998-1999 and 2001-2013) and as NAR Region 6 Vice President, representing Ohio and Michigan, in 2008.

“Barbara is a most deserving honoree,” said OAR President Thomas J. Williams. “Her dedicated service, tireless effort, extraordinary vision and unmatched leadership within the profession and in her community through the years is unrivaled."
