REALTOR Joyce Goldsmith honored with OAR Distinguished Service Award

Apr 23, 2015

OAR President Greg Hrabcak presents Joyce Goldsmith with the organization's Distinguished Service Award for her uncommon commitment to the REALTOR organization.

REALTOR Joyce Goldsmith, of the Akron Cleveland Association, was honored as a recipient of the Ohio Association of REALTORS' 2014 "Distinguished Service Award" during the organization's Spring Conference, April 20-22, in Columbus.

Goldsmith is associated with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, Chagrin Falls.

OAR created the "Distinguished Service Award" to recognize long-standing members of the Association who have demonstrated an uncommon commitment to the goals and purposes of the REALTOR association at all levels.

Those eligible for the award must have been active members of the Association for 25 years and cannot have served as OAR president.

Goldsmith has been actively involved in a variety of committees for the local REALTOR organization, including serving as president of the Cleveland Area Board in 1994 and as a member of RPAC, Nominating, Legislative and Finance Committees, among others.

At OAR, Goldsmith has been a Director since 1990, served as District Vice President in 2013-2014 and has chaired or served as a member of the Convention, Professional Development, Executive, Housing Needs and Business Technology Committees, among others.

Nationally, she has been a member of NAR's Housing Needs Committee and Designations and Certification Program Subcommittee.

Goldsmith is an active member of the Women's Council of REALTORS and served as Council President in 1999.
