Jerri Florio honored with Ohio REALTORS 2017 'Distinguished Service Award'

REALTOR Jerri Florio from the Youngstown Columbiana Association of REALTORS was named the recipient of the Ohio REALTORS' 2017 "Distinguished Service Award."
The presentation of the award was made at the Ohio REALTORS Board of Directors meeting during the 107th Annual Convention & EXPO, Sept. 24-27, in Cincinnati.
Ohio REALTORS created the "Distinguished Service Award" to recognize long-standing members who have demonstrated an uncommon commitment to the goals and purposes of the REALTOR association at all levels. Those eligible for the award must have been active members of the Association for 25 years and cannot have served as president of the organization.
Florio, licensed since1975, has been a member of both the Youngstown Columbiana and the Warren Area Boards. She has served on the RPAC, Legislative, Mediation, By Laws & Policy Review and served as a Director for both boards. She served as the Warren Area Board president in 1987.
For Ohio REALTORS, Jerri has been active for more than 30 years and has served on a variety of committees, including: Enlarged Legislative, Enlarged Education, Legal Issues Forum, Long Range Planning, Member Services, Nominating, RPAC Fundraising, Products & Services, Scholarship, State & Municipal, and Professional Standards, among others.
She has attended nearly every National Association of REALTORS (NAR) Convention over the last 30 years and always attends the RPAC and Legislative committee meetings. She's served on NAR committees from 1986-1997.
Florio holds the GRI and ABR designations.
Civically, she finds time to volunteer and support the Salvation Army, Angel Trees, Toys for Tots and Easter Seals.
The Ohio REALTORS, with more than 31,000 members, is the largest professional trade association in Ohio.
