Take the GRI 200 and you are one step away from earning the GRI designation.
The GRI designation is a powerful tool to attract and build new business. You'll increase your skill level across the entire landscape of real estate with in-depth training in legal and regulatory issues, technology, professional standards, and the sales process. REALTORS with at least one designation earned a median of $61,000 while those without a designation earned a median income of $33,500, a difference of $27,600. (Source: NAR Member Profile)

In today's competitive business environment, it often takes more than just motivation and initiative to succeed. Earning the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation is a way to stand out to prospective home buyers and sellers as a REALTOR® who has gained in-depth knowledge on technical subjects as well as the fundamentals of real estate.  The GRI offers the opportunity to gain knowledge that will earn your client’s business.

Featuring top real estate presenters, the focus of the GRI 200 is negotiating, risk reduction, technology, and social media. Intended to benefit agents with at least 3-5 years of industry experience, this program will broaden your knowledge and position you to succeed.

How Do I Earn The Designation?
The program consists of two courses, the GRI 100 equivalency exam and the GRI 200, which can be taken in any sequence.

What Is The GRI 100 Equivalency Exam?
This examination satisfies the requirements of the GRI 100 level of the program.  Satisfactory completion of the exam indicates that you have the experience, other National Association of REALTORS classes, designations, and or certifications, pre-licensure courses and/or company training programs that provided you the competency necessary to compete in the marketplace.

The examination topics consist of:

  • Residential Construction
  • Ethics: Measure of Professionalism
  • Antitrust
  • Agency Laws, Duties and Disclosures
  • Fair Housing
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Environmental Issues: Discovery & Disclosure

Your GRI 100 completion certificate will be emailed to you upon successful completion of the exam. You will then only need to complete the GRI 200 course and pay a one-time application fee of $50 to hold the Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI) designation. The GRI designation is a NAR designation offered and conferred by the State Associations. No yearly dues are required for this NAR designation. While all the courses are open to anyone, the right to use the GRI Designation is limited to those who maintain membership in the Local, State, and National Association of REALTORS®.
